  Parent and Child Class

In this 6 week session, we welcome parents/guardians/caregivers to Dragonfly with their children ages 4 months to around 2 years old. This program empowers caregivers as their child’s first teachers during the early years of childhood.

Parents get to experience the wonder of the Waldorf philosophy, learn how to engage with your child in rhythm, warmth and ease, and spend time in our beautiful early childhood spaces. Classes include creative free play, circle and story time together, and nourishing snacks made and shared together. We make and eat applesauce together—the fun and the yummy smell of fresh applesauce delights every time. Additionally, you will learn songs and games, plus new ideas and tools for parenting. Our program provides a unique opportunity for social interaction and connection with other children and parents.

Program Details

We offer this class in reoccuring 6 week blocks, with a cost of $150 ($25 per class). Each Friday class is 1.5 hours. We do offer a daily drop in option for families, of $30 per morning class. However, we strongly encourage families to commit to the whole 6 week session, as this allows families and children to settle into a rhythm together, and form a consistent group.

Ready to commit? Payment is due up front for the full session. Payment in full reserves your child’s spot in the program. You may mail a check to school, or pay online here now:

This year, she retired from full time teaching, and we’re lucky to have her holding this Parent and Child class. See Ms Kathryn’s biography on our Faculty page for more about her background.
